I know people talk about Die Hard a lot this time of year, and with good reason. It is a mega-classic action movie that still holds up after more than three decades, and no offense to It’s A Wonderful Life or A Christmas Story or Christmas Vacation or Home Alone, but Die Hard is a fun watch during the holidays. But last year, I revisited The Long Kiss Goodnight (as a result of a conversation about women action movie heroes), and I realized it had as much claim to being a holiday action movie as Die Hard does (i.e., the first time we meet our hero, Geena Davis, she’s dressed up as Mrs. Claus). And I think more people should watch it, because it’s also held up rather well since it came out in 1996. So I put together this chart that literally no one needs, but I hope you enjoy.
